SJ#2203: "Sports & Society"
In this program we'll explore the birth of basketball and the role of Dr. James Naismith; see what's happening with the Sunflower State Games as they celebrate their 20th anniversary; and learn how two siblings enjoy the sport of quarter midget racing in our plains people segment.
KTWU/Channel 11, public television serving eastern Kansas and
northwest Missouri, premieres a new season of Sunflower
Journeys each year. The program airs statewide on Kansas public
television stations. Following a magazine-style format,
Sunflower Journeys serves as a unique vehicle for viewers to
learn about and appreciate the diverse culture, heritage and history of
Kansas.
